LAEC IN PHILADELPHIA
The Sixth Annual Concert of LAS AMERICAS EN CONCIERTO (LAEC) will be enjoyed again in Philadelphia in September, 2018. The outstanding pianist, CHARLES ABRAMOVIC, will perform music from Haiti, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile and the United States. Tres Piezas Breves para piano will be part of the program.

MOMENTA QUARTET
As part of its concert, Ocean Breakup, Momenta Quartet will play Oleajes at the Americas Society. The concert will feature music reflecting upon the ocean and disappointed love, breaking waves and broken hearts. The concert will also feature music by Carl Bettendorf, Guy Barash, Stephanie Griffin as well as an arrangement of the Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde for soprano, string quintet and harp by Stephanie Griffin.

The world premiere of Soliloquio in Cali, Colombia by the Colombian pianist, BERTHA LUCIA TELLO OLAVE, has been postponed. A new date will be announced soon.

The wonderful pianist, DAVID HOLZMAN, played my composition, El Jardín de Tomás, at the Queens New Music Festival 2018 on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Secret Theatre.

With a wonderful evening, led by the extraordinary pianist CHARLES ABRAMOVIC, the Sixth Annual Concert of Las Américas en Concierto (LAEC) took place on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Church of Saint Luke in the Fields. Charles Abramovic, brilliantly performed music from Haiti, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile and the United States.

My composition, Ternura de las Grullas, for solo flute was performed by KATRINA OWENS in a concert of the excellent ensemble Vent Nouveau on March 25, 2018 at the National Opera Center-Scorca Hall, NYC.

VOX N PLUX performed Calma mi niño, the third song of Horizontes, tres cantos de cuna para todos, at the concert "Small is Beautiful" at the Third Street Music School on December 3, 2017.

Horizontes, tres cantos de cuna para todos (Horizon, Three Lullabies for Everybody), based on texts written by Charles Ives and Augusta Ives, received its world premiere by Vox n Plux at the Fifth Annual Concert of LAEC.

Desde El Aire: Seis Instantes (From the Air: Six Instants) was performed by the wonderful pianist ANA CERVANTES on June 26, 2017 at La Casa del Pozo en Guanajuato, México, on July 15, 2017 at the Sala Mazahua, Espacio Cultural, México and at the Museo Iconográfico del Quijote, Centro de Arte y Cultura, Guanajuato on July 6, 2017. Ana Cervantes performed this composition in New York City on September 19, 2017 at Christ and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and at Union University, New Jersey on September 25, 2017.
